One of the best parts of my job is that I get to meet some of the most inspiring people in the world.

One of those is Jim Ziegler, who I call “JZ”.

JZ is to the automobile industry what Tony Robbins is to motivation and Taylor Swift is to music.

Once while I was having dinner with him and his wife Debbie in Atlanta, he had to excuse himself to take a call. It was the CEO of General Motors, who was calling from his private jet to ask JZ’s advice on how to save the company.

Even though JZ is very successful, very connected, and very influential, what sticks out most is that he’s the nicest guy you’ll ever meet.

I call him about once a year, just to say hello and touch base. But I sometimes think the real reason is because of the way he ends every call.

Before he hangs up, he always says, “My friend, you are loved and appreciated”.

He’s the only man I know who’s confident enough to say that.

Though I know he says it to a lot of people, I feel like the most important person in the world every time I hear it.

So on this Thanksgiving week, I want to emulate JZ and say to you:

YOU are loved and appreciated.

I know you’re bombarded by thousands of emails every week, and I want you to know how much I appreciate you reading mine.

Happy Thanksgiving from warm and sunny Key West, Florida.

To Your Success,

P.S. If you want to try something fun this Thanksgiving, tell someone they’re loved and appreciated, and watch how it changes their whole disposition.
